Transformer Birthday #2

Since we were headed down south for Thanksgiving we decided to have another Birthday Party with all our family there. It was fun having all the cousins there and some of my second and third cousins came too. Every year I am amazed with how much planning this stuff takes and how quickly it is over!! You will see Thayne finding the cube once again!!!

A year in pictures post #2

So I'm still teaching myself slowing but surely on these blogs. I made a slide show of Keynan's first year but the slide show just posted as a few pictures. So here is my attempt to put up another one. Keynan's first year went by way to quick but we did capture a lot on video and on film and digital camera's. I'm so glad that I take a lot of pics because time sure flies when you are having fun!! You will notice that some of the photo's Keynan is putting anything including a diaper on his head as a hat. He still will find anything to go on his head as a hat and it is so funny.

Disneyland November 22, 2009

Well to top off the Twins 6th B-day. We took them to Disneyland on their actual Birthday! I had not been to Disneyland in 17 years so I was a little excited too. I was so glad we did it because we all had a blast. My Dad also came with us and our cousins Kristie and Sarah met us at the park. Grandma Anderson and Auntie Bridget watched Keynan so we could play all day!

Thanksgiving 2009!

We had a fun day spent with family. As are immediate family has gotten bigger and has spread their wings we only had about 1/3 of us at Jason and Bridget's this year. We still had an awesome dinner and a blast playing battle of the sexes after desert. To my surprise the boys won. I guess I should call them men but boys sound so fitting since us girls lost.lol

The Switch Witch

Well what is the switch witch if you may ask? I wasn't sure who she was either and I guess she is a girl because she is a Mom up to some pretty cool tricks. Thanks to my innovative friend Holli and her wonderful blog post about the switch witch, I now have officially taken on the Role of the SW!lol
Since we started trick or treating on Thursday you can only imagine how much candy we had. I let the kids munch on the candy for a few days but after that I really needed it to disappear. When you have this much candy having the switch witch around is really handy:)!!

To my surprise when I told the boys that we could leave their buckets of candy outside for the switch witch to come and replace their candy with a prize. They both more then happily arranged their buckets out front and they were really excited to see what they might get instead of having a whole bunch of candy. Later that evening I went out side and made(tried to make) witch sounds. After I ran back around the house the boys kept asking me what the noise was. I said, "I think that might of been the switch witch". Sure enough she left a whole bunch of prizes! (2 soccer balls, writing tablets and some molding clay!)

What was even the best idea yet was using this candy in the boys Birthday Pinata's and yes all this candy filled up two Pinata's!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Thayne & Ayden!

In the beginning of November we had a birthday party for the twins here where we live. We also had a party later in the month with family that I will post soon.
We played a cool Transformers game where the kids had to find the all-spark. It was a really fun game and the kids enjoyed it. Leave it to Zach(such a cool Dad!) to come up with all the extra fun stuff for the kids. I love that I can do all the planning of everything and Zach can take care of all the fun details. My Mom made the cakes and cup cakes. As much as it takes to plan it was all worth it in the end even(because each year while I'm planning I say I'm never going to plan another one, lol). Since we always provide goody bags and other fun stuff for the kids. I started my shopping for the party in June so it doesn't seem like a fortune when I actually throw it. I am savoring these younger years because I know one day the kids will be to big for transformer pinata's but for now we have two 6 year old's that I know for sure will have these memories for a lifetime and of course we will too!

Getting ready to play find the all spark. Thayne was a Decepticon and Ayden was an Autobott, they both chose their own team mates and they were off to find the hidden cube.

Thayne as a Decepticon!!(he didn't want to be a bad Transformer either, lol) I told him a scene in the movie where one of the Decepticon chooses to do good:) Zach drew Autobott and Decepticon logo's on each of the kids masks.

Thayne found the cube!!!!

As you can see Ayden doing the Happy dance that his brother found the cube even though they were on different teams. It took the kids over 20 min. to find the cube. We finally had to tell the kids clues and the last clue was that the cube was hiding around something green. It was really hard to see and I even had a hard time finding where Zach hid it.It was in this fake tree and it was camouflaged well.

It's Pinata Time Baby!! Zach literally climbed about 15 ft to get the rope in the tree to hang the Pinata.

Ayden giving it a good whack!!

Saving the best for last or wait is that cake or presents??!!

Ayden giving Zach a big hug. Later Zach told me that Ayden started to cry because he was so happy about his Birthday Party, he told Zach he appreciated so much that we gave him a party!!! AAHHH!!!

I'm sure it is apparent how happy they are here while I was trying to get one picture with me in it.

Pumpkins on the Pier!

<

We started our Happy Halloween off strong again this year by starting at the local Farmer's Market on Thursday. This was the first time we heard of San Luis Obispo's Farmers Market giving away candy and also doing a free picture at the local camera store. So much for being locals and knowing about all the cool stuff, lol. We headed down the main drag of Higuera St. to stop at the stores and grab our candy then over to Jim's campus camera for a nice back dropped fall photo(for free of course).

Then it was off to the Festival called Pumpkins on the Pier which they do every year at Pismo Beach's Pier. We started at 9 a.m. and didn't get back home until 3p.m. They had bounce houses, costume contest for all different ages, face painting, free pumpkins and pumpkin decorating tables, rock climbing and of course trick or treating around all the stores(did I mention that this was all free too!!lol).
The kids had a blast but I have to admit the only way to keep the baby from not having a melt down(since he had missed his nap 2 days in a row) was to stuff his face with more suckers. Which eventually lead to green poop.lol

Ayden made it to the top!!!

This was Pismo Beach on Halloween it was gorgeous!!

Then I scrambled around to get rice crispy treats made because I forgot I had signed up for them for our annual trunk or treat at church. Well we were a few minuets behind but we got the treats made and off to the trunk or treat at church.

After the trunk or treat we went trick or treating around our neighborhood.
