We are moving and we bought our first home !

We are excited to announce that we are moving and also we bought our first home.
The house is in a small town called Bedias,Texas. Pretty much in the middle of no where, that won't stop me from getting out and exploring Texas!! I'm so excited for all of the family adventures in the future! What is even more exciting is my sister and brother Tiff and Mark just bought a house there and so did my brother Mike. So needless to say we will be spending more time together!
The house is roughly around 1200sft. has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is on about 3 acres or a little bit more.
I don't have that many good pics of the inside yet but when I do I will post them. The house for the most part is in good shape we will have to buy appliances and put new flooring in. We have decided to do away with the carpet and put in bamboo floors. I'm already starting my interior decorating themes. Zach has plans to build on but first make 3d models for us to get an idea of what the house will look like before we start the add ons. Zach will also build a music studio off to the back so just maybe we can get back into our music. I've been working on an ep for years and I would love to finish it!
First and foremost we plan on having a great big garden, some chickens and some goats and maybe even a dog and cat, a few horses and mules eventually. I have never owned a dog or chickens or goats so I will be learning tons I'm sure!
People have asked me why Texas, well you can't beat this house price of 56,900 and our rent will be less then 500 a month. So that means I will be home full time with my boys! We plan on preparing for our future and even saving a little college funds for the kids. It is a bonus that family is there too and that they let us know of the great buys there! Zach said yesterday since we did a contract of deed and didn't go through any banks that buying this house was like buying a DVD player at Costco. I'm glad in the future we will focus on networking with our neighbors and start depending less on the system to cloth and feed us. We have a ways to go but this is a start. I have been praying for this day for 10 years. Heavenly Father knows how much I wanted a backyard for my boys and now they have one, we feel truly blessed and grateful.
I plan on sticking around the Central Coast until June, that is when Thayne and Ayden will finish T-ball. Zach will go to Texas before me to get the house ready for us!

Stress management :)

Stress

A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience,
Raised a glass of water and asked;
'How heavy is this glass of water?'

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.'

He continued,
'And that's the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won't be able to carry on. '

'As with the glass of water,
You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.
When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.'
'So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now,
Let them down for a moment if you can.'
So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
And some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet,
Just in case you have to eat them.

* Always wear stuff that will make you look good
If you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
"Recalled" by their maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
It was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.
Just get up and dance.

* When everything's coming your way,
You're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world,
But you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery
on a detour.

The Bob Jones Trail

We went on a hike to one of our favorite places the Bob Jones Trail in San Luis Obispo on your way to Avila right behind the Avila Barn. The boys having been riding without training wheels for a while so they usually jam ahead of us. Keynan has his new Radio flyer from Christmas. This was our first test drive with the radio flyer and it worked great and he loved it!

House Hunting

Here are the houses Zach went to go look at. He will be leaving for Texas on Monday the 5th of April. We haven't seen the inside of these houses yet but we are expecting it to be a lot of fixer uppers. Even though I will miss the Central Coast I'm so looking forward to living off our land, by growing an enormous vegetable garden, milking our own goat, raising our own chickens. By leaving California we hope to become more self sufficient and more prepared in the years to come. That means a proper food storage and emergency preparedness. We have come to mistrust the Central Bank which is against our constitutional rights. We have been fooled by those in wall street and the Federal Reserve. This has shown to leave many families in debt unable to get housing. These homes we are looking at are no more then 60,000 so I am excited that in the near future we can slowly but surely create a free market away from the Federal Reserve. Let's not forget the heath-care bill that was just passed that will send America into a tail spin. I'm sorry folks this one is going to break the camel's back.
On a lighter note we will also be able to use the 3 acre land for horses and other live stock I want to get. I can't wait to see Zach's findings. We plan to work to create a way to barter more and help one another more.

Go Pirates!!!

Thayne & Ayden started baseball a few weeks ago and had there first game 2 Saturdays ago. I am the dug out Mom this Sat so that will interesting :)
