My Baby Turns 3 Today And What's In A Name?!

As anticipated this month Keynan Joshua Wade turned the big boy 3 today.  His birthday happens to land on my Mom's only sister's(alive) Birthday. When I was getting closer to delivery we wondered what day he might be born on. I have a cousin born in June and also my Uncle Wade(my Mom's brother who passed away 22 years ago). When Keynan was born on my Aunt Tracy's Birthday we all thought that was pretty cool.

It's my Birthday and I can cry if I want to, cry if I want to!

I also took some shots of the twins for Father's Day!

I also wanted to get a few shots with me in them.

We named Keynan after one of my favorite singers (even though Zach would never admit it, so I am not going to mention the singer's name)  and he also was named after a dear friend of ours named Josh. Who passed away suddenly in a motorcycle accident 6 years ago. Joshua was a dear soul who trained me to become a Dialysis Tech. He loved heavy metal music just like Zach and I . Josh had kids way before us and we did not share that in common until right before he passed. He left behind a wife and 3 daughters, the youngest being 6 months old. His death is still very tragic to me and I thought it was appropriate to name Keynan after him. I admired Josh and respected him very much. There is that saying ,"Only the good die young". That would defiantly play the part with Josh, he was good, real good. one of the best souls that I will ever meet. He was 27 years old when he died and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember him and his example to others.

Keynan was also named after my Uncle Wade who died suddenly from a brain aneurysm  at the age of 34. I was only 8 and it was hard for my Mom because she was close to her brother. He also shares the name of Wade Jr. Who is Uncle Wade's only son(child).
As Zach and I were agreeing on the names he made a funny comment,"our son is going to be named after a bunch of dead guys". We chuckled and then decided that Josh and Wade were smiling some where knowing that they are missed and thought of.

I can not believe how fast the time has gone by, just yesterday Keynan was learning to crawl and walk and eat solid foods. He has been such a joy for our family. I've savored the baby years and wish it would slow down. The more I wish that it slows down the faster the time goes.

I wanted to photograph him on his Birthday and I did just that. He wasn't really a happy camper but I got a few great shots before the sun came out and started to illuminate my photo's.

Happy Birthday Keynan! We love you little man!
