Cancun
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! We are days behind in our blogging so I am going to attempt in getting us caught up.
In December Zach and I went to Mexico and out of the Country for the first time. We had a blast and we celebrated our 7th year Wedding anniversary! Back in May I won this trip to Mexico while working for the Body Shop at home. I had only won one trip for myself and I was suppose to be roomed up with one of my team mates that won a trip as well. As the Body shop at home announced it was closing in April, I wondered what would come of my trip. As the trip approached in May of 2009 and the out breaks of swine flu we decided to wait to book our trip. The Body shop decided to allow any consultant to pick their time of travel between May and December 2009. As it turns out the team members where scattered and thus placing the idea that Zach should come along so I wouldn't be in Mexico for 5 days alone. most of my closer team mates had won a trip for their husbands so going as the odd girl out didn't seem fun. This was an all inclusive paid trip. That means I didn't have to pay for ANYTHING!! We only had to pay for Zach's plane ticket! We enjoyed fine dinners each night and had wonderful lunches and breakfasts. We even ordered room services a lot just because we could. We stayed at the Beach Palace and the service was amazing. Since I speak a little Spanish we got around the area and hotel pretty good. A lot of the people spoke English with a heavy accent so it was a little easier to try to communicate in their language.
I wasn't sure as we arrived to the Resort if Zach would get all inclusive too. To our surprise they slapped on a wrist band for him and we had an amazing time. I will tell you that all inclusive is the way to vacation.
As we were there we seen lots of fun stuff for the whole family to do. We hope to return but next time we would like to stay for a few weeks. We got to go to the Ancient Ruins of Tulum which are old Mayan civilizations. We would of liked to of done more site seeing but we were happy we did see Tulum. It was right on the coast and the views were breath taking. Since I had to be put on antibiotics before the trip due to the worst cold I have ever had. We did not do the scuba diving like we had planned. We still had an awesome time though and got some needed alone time!
